GSEB Board Class 10th & 12th Exam 2021 Got Postponed

Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSEB) has postponed Gujarat Board 10th 12th Exam 2021 for two months. Due to increasing cases of coronavirus epidemic infection, the Gujarat board has decided to conduct the GSEB SSC and HSC exam 2021 in May 2021 instead of the first week of March. At the same time, before this, the parents are demanding the Delhi government to postpone the CBSE 10th 12th exam 2021.

Over 16 lakh students will appear for the Gujarat Board Exam 2021. These students will get extra time to prepare for the exam, even after a major part of the academic year has been lost due to an epidemic after the closure. AJ Shah, president of GSHSEB, said that the decision to conduct board exams for students of classes 10 and 12 has been taken to give them more time to prepare. There is no consensus on the Gujarat Board exam dates, but the full time table is likely to be released by next week. It is being told that this time 10.50 lakh students will appear in class X and 5.30 lakh students will appear in the examination in class 12th.

Academic Calender To Be Merged With CBSE Schedule

In Gujarat, now the 10th and 12th board exams will be held at the beginning of the year from 2021. The primary education department of the Gujarat government has almost finalized the academic calendar to merge its schedule with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and start the academic year from April.

Vinod Rao, secretary of Primary and Secondary Education, says that the dates will be known as soon as the board completes the process of finalizing the academic calendar. Parents and children are reacting differently to the news of board exams being early. Some believe that as the whole academic year is being changed, students will get more time for preparation.

GSEB Board Official Statement

According to Gujarat Board officials, the second session will now be 155 days instead of the normal duration between 115 and 120 days. Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that the process of filling the board examination form will begin after the Diwali holidays. There will be no change in the format of board examination and examinations will be conducted like previous years.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has asked the education department of the state to prepare guidelines for reopening schools and colleges in the state. The department will be preparing a set of standard operating procedures, SOPs that will be carried out by students and officials given the outbreak of the epidemic.
